Starting in the Toronto creative industry as a prop stylist in 2003, Andrea's work has appeared on TV and in custom + consumer magazines such as Living Spree, BELLE, Style at Home, Canadian Family, Canadian Home and Country, House & Home, Toronto Life, Today's Parent and as the Home Editor for Chatelaine. With a Bachelor of Design from Toronto's Ryerson University, Andrea continues to bring sets to life in set design + prop making for film, TV and commercials, art direction for retail and advertising, prop and lifestyle styling for editorial and custom publications and DIY project development.
Andrea specializes in set design + trend translation behind the camera. On camera, she shares DIY know-how, inspiring spaces and industry insight formerly as a guest designer on CBC's Steven & Chris, the Marilyn Denis show and other lifestyle programs.
Growing up in Newfoundland, Andrea sewed with her mother and made furniture to her own design with her father. In 2010 she brought this lifetime of making together in furniture + upholstery brand Restyle Studio. At Restyle Andrea designs and makes upholstered furniture, transforms existing pieces through reupholstery and refinishing and teaches a range of DIY and furniture workshops.
Andrea has lent her maker and lifestyle editorial expertise for successful brand campaigns such as Renova's Red Label Canadian launch (2014), Egg Farmers of Canada Easter campaign (2014) and others.
